Since 1755, the Jeanniard family was already fascinated by viticulture. Because of Alain Jeanniard’s passion for wines, he left the industry sector and studied for 9 months in wine school and developed his own estate which eventually has grown to 7 hectares today.
The Estate is doing the HVE stands for “High Environmental Value” label. They have been practicing it for 20 years now for pest control management and only use chemical products only when it is absolutely necessary for an eco-friendly way. Herbicides are prohibited so soils are maintained by regular plowing. Yields are controlled by a suitable cut to guarantee good sanitary and quality grapes. They also practice a manual and partial stripping of the stems.
Only high-quality grapes are used to obtain wines that meet the expectations of the estate. Thus the harvest is picked and sorted by hand at the ideal stages of maturity, health, and climatic conditions. The vinification is done in a traditional way with the moderate use of sulfur dioxide or SO2 to keep the fresh aromas of the grapes.
Just this year, Grands Vins de Bourgogne Alain Jeanniard joined London Awards 2021 and has received 4 Gold Awards for the following products:

As far as possible, the wines are neither filtered nor fined, in order to preserve all their olfactory, taste, and aromatic integrity.
